We could actually all learn from this story.  Lola Cion 80 years old, works by planting kamote and collecting woods to be used as panggatong to be able to make ends meet.  It is not even making ends meet but rather trying to get food on the table for her grand children.


P8 (Eight Pesos).  That's how much she could sell her panggatong.  P50 (Fifty Pesos) for the kamoteng kahoy she could harvest.


How much do we spend on our ridiculously expensive lifestyles?  How much do we earn by just sitting, thinking and flickering on our gadgets?  While this lady is walking up to the hills and scavenging for woods at 80.


Her one wish.. to die at 200 years old.  She is concerned about her grandchildren.  What would they eat?  Where will they go?  


To be able to still take care of her grandchilrden..  Selfless. 

A Peaceful and Prosperous New Year

A Peaceful New Year to everyone.  That's what we say.  Really.. DO we have peace during New Years?  


Actually New Year is our BIGGEST alibi to make a lot of noise, drink a lot of alcohol and get wasted.  


If you really wanted to have a Peaceful New Year. Find peace within.

SImbang Gabi 2011

Nagsimula nanaman ang simbang gabi.  Naghahanda na din ang mga tao sa pag dalo sa Banal na Pagsasalo salo.  



Naghahanda na din ang mga hinayupak na mga tropa na ang tanging hangad sa ganitong panahon ay maghamon at mag abang ng away.


Naghahanda na rin ba ang mga kinauukulan?  Hindi pa rin talaga tayo natututo.. tsk tsk tsk ..

Boston Celtic's Lack of BIG men

It just came to me.  The Boston Celtics have been looking for a serviceable BIG man.  They hired Jermaine O'Neil, with those injuries?  They got Shaq, with those injuries?  
So why not take a chance on Greg Oden.  Yes with those injuries. 


Upside.  He is still young and have been wanting to show what he can do.  He wants to prove that he belongs to the NBA and he is no bust.


Downside.  Injuries and attitude.

Filipinos and Manny Pacquiao (hidden truth)

We, as Filipinos, have been very proud of Manny Pacquiao's accomplishments inside the ring.  Those eight belts that he has is testament enough t the pride, glory and honor that he brought us.  These accomplishments would also give him a slot to the boxing hall of fame, if there is one?


Why are we lambasting him with comments that are not heard in the past few years that he has been fighting?  He did not deserve to win.  Marquez won the fight.  Is there still politics in the ring?  Ay tinapakan kasi ung paa niya kaya hindi gaano nakaporma si Pacman.  Mahina na siya.


One painful truth is we have been wanting him to loose.  


That's it.


I do not know.  He is great I agree.  But I am one of those that who would bet against him.  Though I do not enjoy watching boxing.  I only watch just for the sake of watching.. hahaha 


I guess we are envy?  of the fame, fortune and everything that goes with it.  Pacman has it!  endorsement, properties, cars and yes women.  Now that puts a grin on every man's face.


I guess we are tired?  He is evolving into someone that is not him.  The purity of his actions and words are different.. are lacking.. it's not there?


Is he getting arrogant?  Watch his game show on TV.  he is unwittingly becoming willie..


The singer?  Who does a concert after a fight?  Is that giving thanks to your followers?  or is it plain arrogance??  And he is getting away with it.. yes he could.. he has MONEY and lots of them.


The politician?  Come on!  Everybody knows that those politicians are just playing you Manny.  You should know better.  You can help by not being an elected official.  You have been helping as a normal but wealthy citizen.  Making laws does not suit you.  Your actions are more than enough.  Actually I think you have helped more compared to our elected officials.  Do not be one of them.


I guess we, as Filipinos would like to watch how you will fall.  How your last fight would be.  How you would squander and let you Billions slip and vanish through thin air.  That's who we are.  That's what we like.  Telenovelas anyone?


**A quick shout out to Mayweather.  Do not be a coward chicken shit.  This is the time to pounce on Manny.  He is weak.  He's confidence is down.  Most important of all he's "Filipino" fans have been he's number one critiques and has doubted him.  


Oh But I am waiting for Manny to wake up!  Then it should be a different story..

May isang bagay akong napapansin s mga pelikulang napapanood ko.  Kapag umiinom ng gamot ang mga karakter eh bigla silang gumagaling.



May isang inatake as puso.. "Ang gamot ko.. dali!".  Iaabot naman ang gamot.. iinumin ng kung sino mang artista.. at biglang eepekto na ang gamot .. 


AGAD AGAD?!?!?!


May ganung gamot ba talaga?  Pagka lunok na pagkalunok ayan na at may epekto na?!  Maitanong nga sa mga doktor..

Does anyone realize or does any one still remember how popular Keempee de Leon was back in the 1990's?  His trademark hairstyle was copied / imitated / duplicated by almost all of the young men during those days.  Remember the parted hair in the middle and bangs up until the ears or some covering the eyes?


Punta ka sa beauty parlor or barber shop noon, sabihin mo lang keempee!  Alam na nila ang gupit na gagawin hehehe.


Though uso noon hindi tlaga pwede sa klase ng buhok ko ang ganung style hahahaha..
