Rest in Peace Mr. Ramo

Saw a post in Facebook that Mr. Ramo has passed away.  Rest in Peace Sir Ramo.. Just to let you know I can now type in my PC without looking at the keyboard.  

I also saw him given an award by the Knights of Columbus in Marikina for his exceptional contributions for being an educator (Actually forgot if ito nga un?)

You will always be remembered .. by the students you have handled .. be it in inumans / kwentuhan . the way you taught typing, the way you spoke, on how you used to wear that spunky barong, on how you used to box (this I am not so sure) and especially ikaw ung PINAKAMABAIT na teacher doon (kahit sobrang ingay na ng mga estudyante tahimik ka pa din at pasensyoso)

On the lighter side
As I have said I saw the post in FB regarding your passing.  madaming nag LIKE .. iniisip ko lang kung ano ang ni LIKE nila? (ung passing or ung natutunan ni sir COFS? PEACE guys)

PLDT DECIDES

From April 16 to 19 I've been doing follow up regarding our problem with the DSL connection

Still they:

- Cannot give the root cause

- Cannot tell when the connection will be restored?

- Cannot tell when will the people come and fix it

And today.. ANAK NG PUTA KAYO! 

As I quotang ina 'naka assign na po sa technician ung issue. SILA PO ANG MADEDECIDE KUNG KAILAN NILA KAYO PUPUNTAHAN'

Eh PUTANG INA NYO PALA EH!!

Pag na-late lang ng ilang araw sa pagbayad ambilis nyo magbigay ng notice of disconnection. Ang malupit pa nun putol na bago pa matanggap ung notice.

Dapat baguhin nyo na ang pamamalakad, proseso at kultura nyo. Ano pa at tinawag kayong service provider kung ganyan ang serbisyo nyo.

And I am keeping myself from indicating the name of the assigned technician.  I still have that respect for the individual kind of thing...

PLDT - WALA NANAMAN CONNECTION

PLDT as always, has no answer to our queries regarding the so called 'problem' in our area.

Since Friday night or Saturday we are not able to connect to the internet.

Q1. What is the problem?

- Sir, we are still trying to identify the problem

Q2. When can you give updates?

- Sir, we do not know when the technical team will give their updates.

Q3. Can we ask for a rebate?

- Sir we can not verify that as of this time. You can call billing tomorrow.

I got the ticket number for the incident.

03.12.2013 with Tristan

I decided to write about my experiences with Tristan, my son who is 3 years old.  I am hoping that I can regularly update this blog because of him. hehehehe..

Yesterday, we were supposed to go with ninong to fetch Yanyan and Rhechiel.
Me: Tristan sama tayo sa pagsundo
Tristan: ayaw, nanonood ako ng cartoons
Me: ok

I went on to check some emails and other websites.  After 30 minutes, natapos ung pinapanood ni Tristan na Cartoons.

Tristan: Halika na Dadie sunduin na natin si Mamie
Me: Ngek wala na si ninong, nakaalis na
Tristan: eeehhhh sunduin natin si mamie (started to cry...)
Me: sige ntay natin si Ninong, susunduin daw tayo
Tristan: ok

At nagsimula uli siyang maglaro hanggang mapagod at makatulog.. End of day (03.11.2013)

Ngayong gabi.  Pagdating ko sa bahay galing sa opisina.  Sumama si Tristan sa akin sa kwarto.

Tristan: Dadie sunduin natin si mamie.  Tawagan natin si Ninong.
Me: ok

Nagtext si Rhechiel, "Pauwi na ako, nasa shuttle na".

After 30 minutes.

Me: Tristan halika labas tayo
Tristan: Antay natin si Ninong?  Susunduin si Mamie?
Me: Opo

Dumating ang tricycle, lulan si Rhechiel.

Tristan: Mamie bakit ka anjan?  Susunduin ka namin.
 Mamie: Andito na ako Tristan.
Tristan: tawag natinsi niong alis ka.  Susunduin ka namin.

Matapos ang kutakot takot na pambobola at panunuyo.

Tristan: Nood na tayo TV, Mickey Mouse.  Akin ung TV eh.

Ang pinaka gamit na gamit na salita ngayon, lalo na kapag ganitong umuulan at bumabaha.

Ano ba ang "Catch Basin"? <- paki click na lang ito!

Sino kaya ang pwede nating masabi na unang gumamit nito?  Halos lahat ng interview maririnig mo ang salirang Catch Basin.  

Ito daw ang dahilan kumbakit ang parte ng isang lugar ay binabaha.  Ito ang ilan ng naririnig ko sa mga balita:

"Dahil sa Catch Basin ang lugar namin, dito napupunta ang mga tubig/basura ng mga karatig pook".

"Ung mga basurang yan galing sa karatig lugar dahil nagsisilbing Catch basin itong lugar namin"

So ang gawin natin eh sisihin ang ibang tao, ibang lugar, ibang basura, ibang baranggay, ibang munisipyo, ibang syudad, ibang probinsya at lagyan natin na Catch Basin kasi ang lugar namin.  Yan na ang katanggap tanggap na paliwanag kumbakit bumabaha at  napupunta ang basura sa isang lugar.
 

Ang Habagat ni Ondoy

Went b.ack home just before 12noon (Aug-8-2012).  Nang mapanood ko ang isang segment ng news napag isip ako.

Habagat mas malakas ang ulan na dulot kaysa kay Ondoy

Would those people in the government explain to us, Marikenyos, why?

BAKIT? 

BAKIT noong Ondoy umabot hanggang pangalawang palapag ng bahay namin (hanggang tuhod) ang tubig ng ilog.

Ngayon ni hindi man lang lumagpas sa unang baitang ng hagdan namin.  OO tama UNANG BAITAN.

BAKIT?

Bakit noong Ondoy ay sobrang bilis ng pagtaas ng tubig.  5 - 10 minuto ay isang talampakan or mahigit kaagad ang itinataas ng tubig.  

Ngayon nakukuha pa naming mag check ng email, FB, tweet at Viber.  hahahaha

Hindi ba ito'y isang indikasyon na may nagkamali sa atin nung panahon ng Ondoy?  Meron bang ginawa ngayon na hindi ginawa noon?  Meron bang ginawa noon na hindi ginawa ngayon? (nakuha mo?) hahaha

 Mga ginagalang (kahit hindi dapat) na kababaihan at kalalakihan pwedeng pakilahad sa amin kung bakit naging ganito.

 

Gusto Kong Maging Seaman

Watching "Ako ang Simula" sa channel 2.  They are featuring a school in Alcala Pangasinan (South Central School).  This school does not have a computer lab like the schools here that we know.  They have ONE, yes ONE PC for all their students. Pentium 1 at that.

Guess what.. They have been winning computer competitions, as reported on the show.

So the show gives out new computers and a laptop to the school.  But the thing that caught my attention was the top student of the school.  When asked by the host what he is planning to become or what  his dream was.

The boy answered, "Gusto kong maging Seaman."

Karen Davila: "Ano naman ang plano mong gawin or ano ang plano mong trabaho sa pagiging seaman?"

Boy: "tagahugas po ng pinggan".

Not realizing his potential or what he could reach the host, teary eyed, hugged him and explained that he can reach a much higher goal than washing dishes.

This boy has been winning computer competitions for his school with the use of a single outdated computer. 

Full of humility and simplicity.  "Kid ikaw and simula"..

Being friends on Facebook does not mean that we are friends in the REAL world??
So why add up someone that you are not in speaking terms with??


Or someone who is a friend of a friend of a friend that you happen to be with in one of the inumans of a friend. <- hope this one makes sense hehehe.. point taken?

Oh nalimutan ko .. padamihan ng kakilala ang laban.  One of the many traits one should notice with the Marikenyos.. i guess this would be another entry.. next time ..

Back to the Future III

Ahh yes.. after Back to the Future II .. comes the third offering .. hope I can wake up early in the morning.  I still have training.  


I remember Papa telling me stories when he went back from Saudi that he has actually watched Back to the Future IV back there.  And told me about the flying train .. all was a joke just to excite a little kids imagination ..

Back to the Future II

Watching Back to the Future II.. After 23 years (1989) .. in HBO.  What caught my attention was that they went back to the year 2015.  Right, 2015.. 3 years na lang hehehe.  I haven't seen any flying car, hover board, talking electric jacket and nike shoes that lace them selves up.  

Still it was fun watching the movie.. there was the cafe 80's that has monitors as attendants.  Actually, what has happened to those characters appearing on TV like hosts of MTV or something?  Where they talk and in between words just stutter words .. like like like that..
